Reviews
The night range was awesome. They have a rubber tee, their balls are okay. They have large green to practice green and 105 balls for $10 is a win for me.
The place was ok. We were there for an evening wedding event. Open parking lot with and overflow lot, (Park at your own risk). Lots of parking!
The place looked ok. Kind of an old place vibe, but it worked with the club, it looked cool and different.
Events can be held inside or outside. We were there for a Saturday wedding. There were two weddings going on for what I could see. Ours was inside and the other wedding was outside.
The windows from our room looking outside to the golf course and the windows from the double door to go outside looked dirty and stained or something. Not very clean at all.
Also, in the men’s bathroom there are 4 stalls, in 3 of them the door latch was either missing or was not working, so you had to hold the door close with your hands while you do your business!
I played golf at Royal Vista and during the round I was hit by a golf ball. I wasn’t able to finish the rest of the round because I was injured. The staff didn’t bother to help me and the director of golf Sammy Chin is very rude. Sammy kept telling me I need to go after the other golfer that hit me because the course is not liable. It makes no sense that this is a private property they should have insurance for incident like this. Now Sammy is ignoring my calls and emails. Very unprofessional of Sammy who is supposed to be a director of golf but can’t do a simple job.
This is a wonderful place to come for family events ❤️ They NEVER ever disappoint us. The staff is always friendly & help out if it's needed. They are on top of things when it comes to getting drinks out at the bar. Make sure our food is out as well & everything is plentiful for every member of my family. I've been here in 2018 & now in 2020 & both were for family events & celebrating a life we had lost in our family. That banquet room is just fantastic. I truly enjoyed the bacon-wrapped asparagus & dates. Along with skewers of 🍅 tomato & Cheese & onions before our dinner was great. Not to mention the Oatmeal cookies Chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting & the lemon bars were out of this world mouth-watering delicious. The drinks at the bar were great. Not overpowering OR watered down. They were perfect. We had a great time celebrating my Aunt Susan's life ❤️ & what she meant to our Family. Thank you to the entire staff at the Royal Vista Golf Club ⛳️ for your wonderful service to my family. Every family member had an awesome time & felt completely at home here. Both times I've been here .. you guys have knocked it out of the park with your service & help & we truly loved how clean the place was even the bathrooms were spotless. This was a 5-star visit & review from our family. Ever grateful 🙏🏼. Christopher
Greens are in great shape. Hilly and tight fairways, up and downs. Some with strange settings. Pretty challenging though. Overall an average and aging golf course, playable for practicing and perhaps, walking for evening round.
Poor course management & WORST customer service! Golfers, book here own your risk!!!
1. Royal vista has 3 courses (North, East, South/ 9 hole each course). The north course was unavailable to book online, so my friend booked South & East courses for 3 players at 3:30pm on Monday. The staff in the front desk, he didn't mentioned anything about the course when my friend check in, he just said we can tee off whenever we ready. (Two of my friends went inside pro shop to checked in)
2. In conclusion, we ended up to play 9 holes (North) completely, since they closed both South & East courses. The south course closed when we arrived, however; we realized after we've been there. The gate connected hole to hole was locked, so we called pro shop and the staff told us to play North & East course. We saw East course tee box is packed at 4pm (there are 2-3 teams wait for tee off ahead of us), we assumed we can't finished round if we wait for our turn so we started from North. After we finished 9th hole, we moved to East course and I realized they closed East course, too. It was 5:30pm at that moment. They closed pro shop and two courses on 5:30pm! There was other players behind us, they went same route as we did.
3. We have to drove back to cart parking area. There was a staff sitting on the cart (same guy who was in the pro shop). We requested for partial refund because we booked 18 hole but we only allowed to play half. The employee said, there is no refund because everyone been told to play North and East courses (EAST FIRST) when they check in and we just ignored his direction. However; we can play North course again if we want. We said, we never heard anything about the course from you and if you said so, why there is other players behind us playing same route as we did? The employee responded, they did wrong, too! They been told as well.
This guy just treated us like fool. It doesn't make sense we all missed his words, not only the team behind us, we had to notice other players who head to South course while we back from there. And why do you guys accept the booking on South course even it's closed?
4. We also witnessed other team complains about the situation and they asked for refund to the staff. And he just repeated same words like he did to us. Of course other players got rejected on their refund, too. Because staff did nothing wrong, it is all our fault, we were too stupid to take his directions well. He's arrogant behavior just made us speechless, he must be the owner in Royal vista!
5. There was young guy who drives a cart around the course, he seems an newbie employee here. He had his friends to play at the course which is totally fine. But his friends are blown my mind while we play North course. There're 3 players share one golf club, they park the carts on apron (edge of the green), hit the range balls, each players hit several balls on tee box, they cross the fairway front of us while we hitting the ball to green, and each player hit the ball 6-7 times on Par 3 fairway (they already over double par before they are on green). No one stopped them, even the staff. The young staff just follows his friends to watch them to play. It is okay if you're a beginner golfer can't play golf well or just play golf for fun, what I can't stand is they don't know the rule and golf atiquette at all. Even the staff who work at the clubhouse, he seems don't know anything about the golf, he just let his friends mess up with the course. It was so miserable to watch them to play.
Nice course, well maintained it has 3 9-hole regulation options each with unique challenges. Big turns and elevation changes are the standard.
Played there today and the pace was absolutely brutal. There were 3 groups backed up on the second hole, which was just a sign of things to come. We paid for 18 holes and were able to play 9 in about 3 hours, waiting before every single shot. We had to leave after 9 cause we wouldn’t have gotten 18 in before dark. They allow fivesomes, which absolutely killed the pace of play. We called the pro shop at one point and they said they’d send out a Marshall but we never saw one. Course was okay but not in great shape. The greens were actually rolling great but the pace just destroyed the round and I won’t come back here again unless Im in a fivesome with beginners that will play slow.
